Abstract: The investigations of the dependence between metabolism and body weight in the fries of Mugil auratus and Trachurus mediterraneus were performed. The weight of fries varied from 0.0095 to 0.263g in Trachurus and from 0.015 to 0.177g in Mugil. The dependence between metabolism and body weight is described by the equations: Q = 0.276*W^0.69 (for Trachurus) and Q = 0.310*W^0.67 (for Mugil).
